Hello toogitters! Nice to have you here.
I am Nishant Agarwal, I come from an average middle class family. I dream big and am never afraid of taking risks and unconventional approaches to make them true. This is how I developed this new amazing freelancing platform called Toogit.
I have been a freelancer for 5 years and still freelancing along with n different entrepreneurial things. The simple and straight reason for freelancing was to make good money while I was getting pennies in my 9 to 6 job. This so called 9 to 6 job was pretty frequent to get itself stretched to 8 to 10 job, and the so called five days working was very habitual of becoming 6, 6.5 and even 7 days working job. Here came the turning point in my life, I crossed path with someone who happened to be a freelancer. We had quite a chat about ways we could improve ourselves. The chat was enough for me to get a direction, hence, I started freelancing.
It was a drought initially but after one year I was on a takeoff mode. I was earning good enough to support my family and also saving a good amount. Spent 5 years on different highly challenging and high paying projects, made a network of new highly motivated people all around the world. I never imagined that I could be so valuable for some start up businesses, perhaps I never realized my hidden skills until then. I helped start ups to grow; I helped mid size businesses to become large scale, and I helped my clients to be the best in their grounds.
In this journey, I also realized the pain of a very large, smart, hard working, ambitious and competent community known as ‘freelancers’. We, freelancers, are the smartest people in the world. We work and act like a whole organization despite of being lone wolves. We have skills of 8 different people in ourselves, we are Marketing experts, we are managers, we are our own HR planners, we are our own accountants, own laborers and we are in pain.
On the other hand, I worked with other community known as ‘clients’. I have been a client myself for long time and I know exactly how much time and money I had to waste to get my ‘desired’ results and I still ended up getting none. Freelancers, smartest people of the world, come to us and prove their smartness, and matter of the fact is they are not that ‘smart’. Long story in short is we, the clients, never get desired results in desired time, in desired budget.
I have been on both sides of the table; I was in a position to fill the gaps. I stayed awake in dark nights for weeks, I ran thick analytics thousands of times and came up with a new way to start a new awesomeness. I named this new awesomeness in smart freelancing ‘Toogit’. Yes, there will be no more freelancers, no more clients, but there will be toogitters from now onwards. All in one ‘toogitters’. And the million dollar question for you is:
Did you start toogitting yet?
Your fellow toogitter.
