My wife and I have started a small business in Addis Ababa Ethiopia that makes healthy and tasty snacks, our specialty being granola bars and bites. We are a small startup with an even smaller budget trying to fight the big guys that are trying to break into the developing market. We have been in business a little over a year and are looking for ways to simplify our process as we don't have any big equipment to match the bigger companies.
With that said, I previously designed a 3D model (Attached) of a 'cookie cutter' to punch out granola bars and small bite size bits which consisted of two parts, basically 'male and female.'
Even though I was able to reduce our granola cutting/shaping time with the above tools (we used to hand shape each one before the tool), we need to now further simplify the process in order to make it easier and faster.
Therefore, I am looking for someone to work with to help me design a similar tool that reduces the time it takes to shape.
The current process of shaping the bars and bites:
- Mix the granola
- Hand fill all of the holes in the tool (the female side for lack of better term)
- Take the male side and push out all of the shaped bars and bites
- Place them on a tray for baking
I would like to design something that I can basically put a lump of granola mix in and put out shaped bits based on a similar design to the attached since I know those work well already. I 3D printed the last one and it works well and would like to do the same with this as well.
