Project aimed at those who know the APPGINI framework and create two step by step tutorials to accomplish the following based on the blog post and comment: "A work-around to implement a multiple choice lookup field in your AppGini apps"
I will share some tutorial with shortlisted candidates. The tutorials must explain step by step how to customize the files in the hooks folder to get the following:
1) insert an 'ADD TAG' button next to the TAGS field that allows to go to the TAGS table and add a 'TAG record'.
The main idea would be to use JavaScript to insert a button beside the multiple choice field. On clicking the button, the parent field would be opened in a modal window, allowing users to insert new tags. On closing the modal window, a JavaScript handler would update the data of the multiple choice field to include any newly added tags.
2) Tutorial: Consider the scenario where you added the tag dark colors for example to a product, then decided later to edit that tag in the Tags table and renamed it to darks. This will not automatically update the tag for products that already have it. Same if you decide to delete a tag from the Tags table. If that tag is already assigned to a product, it will stay assigned to it despite being deleted from Tags.
To fix this, if needed, you should add code to the tags_before_update() hook to get the old value of the tag and perform a search and replace operation to the products.tags field.
Similarly, to handle deleting tags, you should add code to the tags_before_delete() hook to also search for that tag in products.tags and clear it.
