I need a developer for a Python application that could read some XML/excel files, identify the right row in that files to start and finish working on data (there's one defined group of rows that interest my analysis), after that, it needs to create one new sheet on the same workbook with this group of information, after that, it need change the first columns of data that has a date concatenated with the hour (need to split it into two columns, one with the date other with the hour), and then save this file. This program has to be able to do this job on all workbooks in the directory that it's in. After it did these changes, the software needed to create one new file concatenating the date/hour/and a specify value on one of the columns of all files, this news file has to have the first column with the date, the second, with the hours, and the others columns with the title of the name of the file that has originated the information and their respected value, and then, on the columns of other files that don't have a value for that specify date or hour, that other have a value, it could put a '0' on the cell. After this database construction, I want one program to run a Markowitz analysis on this data, returning the better weight of each strategy (origin file) on the portfolio.
The project could be composed of 3 programs:
1) Program 1: read the XML/excel origin workbooks and adapt/split the date-hour column;
2) Program 2: concatenate all of the specific result-value of each workbook on one spreadsheet with all dates/hours of each result, separate on columns of each base workbook;
3)Program 3: Run the Markowitz portfolio analysis.
