We are looking for one or more Linux server administrators and web hosting/microservices EXPERTS who will be responsible for assisting with the development, enhancement, and improvement of our web hosting platform.
We're a rapidly growing managed hosting startup with thousands of users in nearly 50 countries.
This engagement will start as trial project but will become a full-time salaried position with the possibility of equity.
You absolutely must have extensive experience with ALL of the following:
- Linux servers administration - Ubuntu/Debian primarily
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining microservices such as Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP7.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining OpenLiteSpeed stacks.
- Heavy Bash scripting/automation is an absolute MUST
- Basic experience with WordPress.
- Experience with cloud hosting providers like Linode, Vultr, Digital Ocean, GCP, AWS etc.
- Knowledge of hardening Linux, best security practices etc.
Additionally, experience with all of the following would be a huge plus:
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- LXC/LXD
- Google Compute Platform load balancers, CDN, traffic director.

What we're looking for is someone who is strong enough with both Nginx and OLS stacks that they can assist us as we add OLS to our existing LEMP hosting stack, as an alternative to Nginx.
We're also going to add MariaDB as an alternative to our existing Percona 8 setup.
And all of these stacks are orchestrated through a front end UI and our backend BASH scripts which automate configuration changes.
If that specific task sounds like something you could tackle smoothly, prove it to us in your application and be prepared for a hell of a ride. We're building a rocket ship and we need additional expert engineers to come along for the ride.
