Required Apache HTTP Server,Database Design,MariaDB,sql,Wordpress freelancer for Mentoring SQL Database Servers job

I am working to adapt an existing SQL server and WordPress page to work for a similar application. I would like to learn the basics of working with the server and webpage to eliminate problems with simple solutions.

I am a recent college grad with a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in computer science. The majority of my code experience is with C++, Java, and MATLAB. I have an understanding of how the SQL server should be working, but lack experience to solve most problems efficiently.
