We own a website and an e-commerce shop.
The shop is on a sub-domain, whereas the website is on the domain. When running traffic to the website (via FB ads, Google Ads,..), we're appending the UTM parameters to the outgoing links
When a user lands on the lander, that is tracked normally. However, when they go from the landing page to the shop that is located at store.domain, it seems that the UTM parameter information gets lost.
I believe that this is due to the tracking issues due to the cross-domain internal tracking.
Thus, we have had several transactions in the last 2 months that had a source of 'direct/none'.
This needs to be fixed ASAP! Please let me know if you require further information on the issue.
The solution should either be a very straightforward fix in GTM or GA or a way to transfer UTM variables from website to the store.
Looking forward to your applications!
