I am in need of updated contracts for my creative company. We are an agency specializing in video production and website design. I have attached our current contracts but need clear verbiage for the intellectual property section. I would like a master service agreement with supplements that can be added depending on the type of work we are doing (i.e. a video project supplement, a website supplement, an SEO monthly retainer supplement, etc).
Copyright requests for video:
REDFOX VISUAL retains all copyright ownership to all work made in connection with any project. we retain ownership of all finished products, raw footage, project files, photographs, audio recordings, and intellectual property rights to the editing processes, camera settings, production processes, etc. I want it to be clear to the client that they receive an unrestricted license to the finished product only. I want them to know they have license to use the finished product however they want, for as long as they want. They are allowed to use sections of the finished product for use on any platform (not just the product as a whole) and that the license can be transferred if they sell the business or product or what not. Basically I want them to be comfortable knowing the finished product is theirs to do with what they please - but we retain copyright and rights to publish the works to our portfolio, blogs, social media, etc...
Copyright requests for websites:
We would like to grant full copyright ownership of the finished website to our client as well as any content provided to us by the client for the website. We would retain copyright of any assets we provide but once delivered, the website copyright is owned by the client. We retain the right to publish the website as part of our portfolio and the right to post about it in blogs, social media, and such. We will, however, retain intellectual property rights to the design processes, techniques, styles, softwares used, code developed, etc that we use to create the website.
We will need supplements for monthly retainers for SEO and Micro-Content as well but these are new services that we just started so we do not have contracts for them yet.
