We'd like to allow our customers to come to our website (WordPress) enter information about their location and order size and get a shipping estimate from UPS.
We'd like to have an admin back-end developed where we would provide information about each package, which would then translate into the information that UPS needs to give a good estimate
This could include information that only we need to know and see, such as:
- how many units go into each box
- depending on the type of product, the number of units per box may be different. For example, 100 units of one product model may mean that only two bags will fit into one shipping box, but 100 units of another model may fit into three bags per shipping box.
- this will also make a difference in weight per box, of course.
The deliverable should be code snippet that we can embed into our website anywhere we need to - either directly into the page's layout, or as a modal pop-up.
Code cannot be restrictive, such as Flash, which is blocked by most modern browsers nowadays. Instead, it must be in a modern, widely accepted (e.g. W3C) standard.
We expect you would take full advantage of the UPS' APIs and SDKs
In either case, we'll provide the access to our UPS accounts, purchase any licenses, or create accounts necessary to get this done.
