System Administrator Job Description
The system administrator will be responsible for providing technical support to our customer base via help desk and telephone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Configure and maintain a wide variety of Linux/Window systems
Extensive cPanel/WHM experience.
Extensive OpenVZ and KVM Experience.
Troubleshooting IPv4/IPv6, DNS, FTP, NFS, HTTP, hardware, and connectivity issues
Communicate with vendors to design and troubleshoot systems
Handle escalations for customer and internal issues and resolve them in a timely manner
Monitor hardware, applications, and network status and proactively resolve issues
Experience with Windows and Linux systems
Installing and troubleshooting operating systems through remote consoles (IPMI, IDRAC, KVM)
Qualifications:
3+ years in a web hosting support role
2+ years Server Administration (Linux and Windows)
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to do phone support
Excellent customer service
