I'm compiling a spreadsheet of family destinations in the United States
The categories are as follows:
Amusement Park
National/ State Park
Historical/ Memorial Site
Zoo/ Acquarium/ Aviary
Nature Preserve/ Conservatory
Camp
Museum
Government Facility
Other
I have started the spreadsheet on google docs. I can share it with you once hiring is completed.
It will include the destination of interest, address, phone, email , category, and any notes giving a brief synopsis. The notes section will only be required for lesser known destinations. For example, you wouldn't need to give me an explanation of Yellowstone national park, or Disney Land. These are widely known destinations, and it's assumed people will know a little bit about it. But for a place like 'La Brea Tar Pits and Museum' in southern california, we should have 1 sentence explaining the features and attractions of that site.
The searches do not need to be extensive. A simple google search for 'Museums in California' or 'Amusement parks in Iowa' is sufficient. Most states will be pretty quick. High population states like California, Texas, Florida, New York will be quite long.
