I need an automated way to color correct sets of images based on the target color values of The XRite Passport Photo Color Checker chart. In the image sets, there is a reference of the chart shot under certain lighting conditions, exposure, etc. The software should autodetect the 24 colors in a user defined image, compare that with the reference values of the actual MacBeth Color Chart then build, and apply, the corrected matrix to the image set.
This should all be done through command line *without* any need to manually select the color chart in the image.
I have attached a JPG of a chart I've photographed. Use this to test your correction. I would expect the resulting image's RGB values match the reference MacBeth Chart values and therefore the entire image should be color accurate.
I've a number of URLs in reference to this job which should help you on the way. I'm not able to build/adapt the code to my uses (I'm not a programmer), but someone adept at python or C++ image libraries should do just fine.
