Already Installed VPN on windows server 2012 R2, did all the steps and double checked the Windows Firewalls, Antivirus, Ports, Passphrase, Type of VPN etc on the server and the client (Windows 10 Pro) still not working.
I did the test from inside our network and the VPN works great the issue is when trying to use the VPN behind NAT.
Our router is DRAYTEK VIGOR 2762ac
We are not using the VPN inbuilt in the Router as it comes for just 2 max concurrent connections.
We want to use the Windows Server VPN L2TP/Ipsec so our staff can work from home.
This is what we have done so far:
Installed routing and Remote Access on Server, VPN is there
Services up and running:
IKE and AUTHIP
IPsec Policy Agent
Done in Regedit:
AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule value = 2
Windows Firewall is OK:
Remote Access
Routing and Remote Access
Server Open Ports:
Routing and Remote Access [Port: UDP 1701]
Router Firewall open ports:
UDP: 1701 , 500 , 4500
VPN Server: Routing and Remote Access - Configuration:
Windows Authentication
Preshared Key: Passw0rd
VPN Client: Windows 10 VPN configuration: DONE
Type of VPN: L2TP/IPsec
Allowed Protocols:
PAP
CHAP
MS-CHAP v2
