I am looking for a developer having previous experience or existing code to download Android APK from my custom web server. I am uploading my release build apk file to my web server where I have two files-
1. A text file which contains the version code.
2. The corresponding release build APK file.
In my APP's home screen, the code is reading that text file for the latest version code and compares it with the installed app's version code. If it gets grater version number in the text file it shows alert to the user and starts downloading the latest APK from the server. once download is complete it automatically starts installing the APK and updates the application to the latest version with the downloaded APK.
Please note that it should work in Android mobile regardless of the version of Android OS and Manufacturer.
Also please note that I need a POC and code from the developer ASAP to implement the same in one one my existing application . Also please note that I am going to upload the APK in my web server not in Google play store.
Looking forward to get a quick solution ASAP.
