We're building an academic support/knowledge sharing resource, specifically targeted at the needs of help low-income, public school students. My little sister dropped out of high school due to a lack of resources in my family. As a team, we're extremely passionate about supporting students who want to achieve big things but are limited in their access to resources and our mission is to never let another student feel totally helpless with their school work again, no matter how little money they have. We have done extensive user research and need finding to arrive at the current product. We are pre-launch but ran a pilot of the application in this year and have spent the past few months improving the app based on our findings from that test. We have a group of 20,000+ students and their parents who are extremely enthusiastic about the release of this app and have big plans to expand way beyond that number by the end of the year. We are still a small and remote team but we are warm and enthusiastic people who go above and beyond every day to make this product perfect for our users and we're looking for more people like us with a growth-mindset to join us for the next 3-6 months as we test our hypothesis around this product. You'd be joining this team in the early stages of user on-boarding and we're looking for someone who is excited to jump in and help shape the direction of this product and company as well as contribute substantially to the technical development.

We have a working iOS app that we're launching in 2 weeks and looking for another engineer to support the app development process. We started with iOS but quickly want to expand to Android and later a web app, too. We also have an admin dashboard that we use internally that interfaces with the mobile app (specifically, we upload content to the admin dashboard that then displays on the mobile app). Experience with chatbots isn't required but is a huge plus. One of the major features we want to roll out is a tutor chatbot to support the core product. Unlike customer service chatbots, out bot is directing the conversation (it's a supporting instructor). We have a version working that is a simple decision tree chatbot that parses the code and we want to make it a little more flexible - this may involve starting from scratch on this feature but ideally we can just build upon what we've got.
