I am seeking a skilled logistics person to handle our inventory woes. Currently, this task is done by me, the CEO. While I'm good at certain things, I am not good at logistics and it's time for me to pass this onto someone who enjoys this type of work.
The correct candidate will have formal training in logistics. They will have a comprehensive understanding of logistics and supply chains, sea shipping, highly organized, responsible, a good communicator and handy with spreadsheets. You will assume a high level of responsibility as you will negotiate deals with freight forwarders and eventually be responsible for re-ordering our inventory.
The position will initially be quite intense as we currently lack sufficient tracking documents and organization. The candidate will be required to build these tracking documents, improve our logistics organization, test software for inventory forecasting and develop our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). I will devote a great deal of time to helping you develop our structures and making sure you understand our business and needs.
