Required skill set: AWS setup and services, AWS Cognito, Application Security and Application Monitoring knowledge, SaaS applications
Nice to have: Java (not javascript), Chrome Browser Extension technology
I am considering implementing AWS Cognito to improve the encryption for my users data (login username and password). My current IT team does not have the expertise in this area - however, if they are provided guidance, they could work with a consultant to set it up.
Specific Needs:
1). Determine if AWS Cognito is appropriate and possible to implement, given the specific infrastructure and functionality of my application. Review/analyze the implications on application and Users. Two immediate questions I would regarding Cognito: 1) can I migrate users one at a time 2) can I track users logins through my website application.
2) If it is determined to be the right solution, work with my IT team to implement AWS Cognito and set up as easy as possible so my IT team can manage in the future.
3) CTO/Tech Co-Founder Perspective. If you were my IT co-founder, what would you want to review/monitor on a daily or weekly basis? I am seeking guidance on what I should be reviewing for my SaaS java web application (hosted on AWS) - specifically with respect to ensuring my application and environment is secure, available and reliable (and anything else). I have some CloudWatch alerts setup but should I use other AWS services or other monitoring tools to manage health of application? My IT team and I will review my current state and security/monitoring situation, as well as things we think we should be monitoring.
If things work out, this could be longer term relationship to be called upon for related future assistance.
