I have written an ebook called The Pester Book. This is a technical book with lots of how-to content showing the reader detailed code examples and explaining how to use the Pester testing framework.
I'm an engineer and entrepreneur, I'm not an editor nor a professional book writer. As such, this book was created as a best-effort on my part and I need some help cleaning it up to not only publish a new version of the eBook but to also format it for a publisher that's willing to get it printed.
I need a professional editor with experience editing technical books like this to offer suggestions on flow, chapter organizing, and layout. I also need a detailed editor to fix any obvious grammar, spelling mistakes, sections that may appear out of order and other misc things.
Once the content itself has been gone over and optimized. I will then need someone to take the text and convert it to Microsoft Word and to apply the formatting guidelines my publisher requires.
I will share the publisher's formatting guidelines and a chapter from the book. if picked to interview, I will create and invite you to a paid interview job to edit this chapter and to apply the publisher's formatting guidelines.
This book is written in English and has references to US idioms, humor, etc spread throughout, I need someone that has a strong grasp on the English language and understands US-based writing.
I know my strengths and weaknesses and detailed editing work is not one of them. I'm great at writing a lot of content but my ADHD brain simply doesn't have the patience for detailed, editing work. So, if this works out, I would like to establish a long-term relationship with you because I make a lot of my living writing and always have the need for more detailed editors.
