We are an Australian product sourcing and e-commerce business who sources products from China and sells into the Australian market and slowly into the international market place.
We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with a sourcing specialist who is passionate about helping their clients succeed and develop their business.
This person would form a key part of our business team, and become our established team member and business representative in China. Having the opportunity to represent our company on the ground in China - helping us to develop strategic relationships with Chinese suppliers and contractors, source innovative and quality products, as well as helping with the end to end product development and sourcing process.
This could include:
- Sourcing and vetting of suppliers and their factories
- Sourcing of new products - white label and new to market
- Product samples - review and forwarding
- Contract negotiation with suppliers and contractors
- Communication and relationship management with suppliers
- Product quality control, inspections and audits - may include travel to supplier factories
- Logistics support and management including preparation for FBA
To be successful for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following qualities:
- High proficiency with English and Chinese languages - in written and spoken forms
- A great communicator and someone who is able to build relationships quickly
- Have an open mind and be keen to learn
- Reliable, do what you say you will do and do it on time
- A creative problem solver, effectively solve challenges with the product sourcing process
- Confident in negotiating products orders and supplier contracts, including price, MOQs, warranties/gurantees and timeframes for manufacture + Delivery
- Trustworthy, as our team member on the ground ensuring that you always represent our brand, our needs and values when dealing with suppliers and contacts in China.
