This is semi-professional civil engineering work of a technical nature involved in the preparation of design plans, engineering studies and construction estimates for City and County projects. Most of initial work involves municipal water/wastewater design and engineering drawing to ASCE and/or AWWA standards. This type experience is required.

Work is performed under the general supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer; however, this employee is expected to exercise some independent judgement and initiative in the performance of these duties.Plan Production: Performs design and drafting work of a more difficult nature in connection with street, traffic, water, sewer, drainage and sidewalk construction. Prepares plans for simple building and structural improvements. Works individually with one or more technicians to produce sets of construction plans. Coordinates with project technicians to produce plans in a timely manner to meet various goals or review stages. Operates various plotters, scanners, and printers to produce original drawings and copies.
