We are looking for several contract Cloud Application’s Engineer in India.
The Application Engineer job family represents positions that are highly focused in supporting
business applications. They perform installations, configuration, administration and tuning of
software products such as G2, DXP, VAN, TaaS, & Connect. They run necessary maintenance
tasks like upgrades, provide technical support and troubleshooting of application related issues.
An Application Engineer may also possess a strong understanding of software architecture and
programming principles.
Level 1 Engineer
This position is usually the entry point into the Application Engineer career path and is fairly
task. In this role, the Engineer will broaden their exposure to many of the important
technologies by being the foot soldier in many of the projects that his/her team accomplish to
meet the department and overall business objectives.
Responsibilities and expectations
- Familiarity of MS-Windows server and authentication management basics - (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS)
- Familiarity with relational database basics including Oracle and SQL
- Able to support the daily administrative tasks for the applications he/she supports
- Able to troubleshoot the specific applications he/she supports
- Delivery of tested and verified solutions while adhering to development policies and practices
- Expected to learn and understand company values and lean software development principles.
Requirements
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
Experience in IT.
Communication Ability to communicate effectively within the team.
Engineer Level II
The Application Engineer II is expected to work more on their own, be self-organized and able
to work across teams to deliver solutions.
- Proficient with relational database basics
- Proficient in troubleshooting the specific applications he/she supports
- Proficient in the delivery of tested and verified solutions while adhering to development
policies and practices
- Demonstrates our development philosophy on a daily basis and shares our values and
practices with teammates having less experience.
- Begin to focus on how to proactively improve the platform
Requirements
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
Experience 2-5years of real-world experience managing mission critical
enterprise applications
Communication Ability to communicate effectively within the development
team and across various teams within the business.
Comfortable leading discussions and presenting TOI's.
Engineer will:
- Take an interest in more than just their specific projects
- Begin to think deeper and see the whole
- Have clear ability to deliver on project objectives
- Demonstrated proficiency with implementing application solutions that are consistent
with the overall architecture both documented and implied. This includes interaction and leveraging of vendor relationships.
- Begins mentoring other team members
Engineer Level III
Requires very little supervision and is viewed as a functional area
expert. This role is seen as a thought leader within the group and will be the person to set the
overall architecture(s). Application Engineers may choose to stay in this role as long as they
like, or they may choose to pursue a path that leads to a Team Lead role.
Responsibilities

- Very focused focus on how to proactively improve the platform
- Expert in applying automation to the platforms he/she supports
- Expert in seeing the "whole" and creating innovative solutions to meet the business needs
- Critically conducts research on platform products, services, and standards to solve business needs
Requirements
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
Experience At least 5 years of real-world experience managing mission critical enterprise applications
Communication Ability to communicate effectively within the team and across various teams within the business.
Ability to effectively engage vendors for information, support and design/architecture discussions as necessary to achieve business goals.
Ability to direct and mentor other Engineers.
