Hi I am looking for representation.
My husband and I own a Hemp Farm in Longmont, CO. we received a Summons, attorneys for X. We were listed as one of four defendants in the lawsuit. On line item 12 "One or about June 7, 2018, upon Four's instructions,.Plantiff paid Defendant $50,000 via wire transfer." They are asking for $100,000 monetary judgement plus legal fees for a $50,000 transaction for the purchase of clones on 6-5-18.
We wrote the attorneys an email in response that we never received $50,000 from Plantiff. and has never had any business relationship with Plantiff.
We received a "Motion for Clerk's Entry of Default" stating the "3. Defendant failed to file its answer or other responsive pleading."
We need help responding to this Motion and possible representation in court if it comes to that.
In your response please let me know:
1. What the next steps are
2. An estimate of your charges
3. By what date would you be able to respond
4. Are we able to sue for our costs involved in this mess?
