We are looking for a highly organised, bright and proactive freelancer to support our team during a busy period. We have a fun, friendly, busy marketing team at SSAFA, the armed forces charity, with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline.
We need someone to join our team for around 6 - 8 weeks starting at the end of month. You'll be based at our London Office and the day rate is $150 per day.
With strong project management and people skills, you will be able to hit the ground running and work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver creative brand and marketing projects.
A bit of background about SSAFA: we provide lifelong support to men and women in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army and the Royal Air Force, and their families. We also work with veterans of all ages to help them settle into life and work outside the Forces.
This role will focus on project management around our campaigns, ensuring we are working resourcefully across the organisation to deliver high impact, creative results. This is a fun and varied role which will also include briefing in creatives, commissioning assets and contributing innovative ideas to the team. Editing or design skills would be a plus.
Duties include:
- Production of marketing collateral, co-ordination of advertising schedules, as well as supporting our fundraising teams and our large volunteer network as needed
- Work with in-house design teams or external suppliers to assist with production of a wide variety of marketing collateral and materials for different departments and support services across our organisation
- Project management of multiple projects; including co-ordinating with key stakeholders for internal sign-offs and management of delivery timelines accordingly. Source and collate information, photography and materials, validate or verify statistics and data used for content creation by our marketing, PR and digital teams.
- Develop and produce key corporate publications, aligning messaging with other marketing content, collateral and resources which are used in SSAFA's marketing and PR activities, or at our fundraising events.
- Work closely with colleagues in the wider Marketing and Communications team to share information and plan activity - ensuring marketing deliverables are co-ordinated to support wider campaign activity e.g. Big Brew Up.
