We are compiling a directory of U.S minority-owned businesses to identify potential award winners. This project is to:
1.) Efficiently search for website directories and scrape company names and information into an excel format for a number of different minority groups. You will need discretion when evaluating websites and directories for value, security, and accuracy, and when a certain geography is exhausted of valuable data.
2.) Translate PDF directories with various structures into a given uniform excel workbook with defined fields. We have a number of PDFs compiled, and you may encounter additional files during the first section of this project.
- Data fields include Company Name, DBA Name, Owner/CEO Name, Physical Address, Phone, Email, Website, Minority Certification Type, Minority Type, NAICS Codes, and Capabilities.
