Required Creative Writing,Fiction Writing,Romance Writing freelancer for Contemporary Romance trilogy PLOT OUTLINES job

Posted at - Feb 4, 2019

Needing a creative and professional, highly detailed, plot outline for a contemporary romance trilogy. The books should be about six primary students in college. Three men and three women. Majors: 1 Acting (Male), 1 Journalism (Female), 1 Business (Female), 1 Music: guitar (Female), 1 Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences (Male), 1 Philosophy (Male).

Book 1 needs to incorporate all the characters (Some would be friends already) but focus on the ups and downs of a romantic relationship between two of the characters (male-female). Similar for books 2 and 3 only focusing on a different relationship. But all 6 students should be a part of each book in some way!

The outlines should be highly detailed (approximately 4500 words per outline), cover the best tropes of the genre, chapter by chapter. They should look like this:

Overall setting:
Premise:
Main Characters: (Age, Sex, Social Status, Physical Description, Mental Description, Activities, History, and Other, which is where you write a paragraph detailing their relevant backstory).

Side Characters:
Location list:
Synopsis: (500 words)
Character profiles (Main):
Other Characters (secondary):
Primary Motivations of main characters:
Primary Conflicts in book:
Chapter By Chapter Plot: (-2500 words)

You can think of the tone as having the feel of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' meets Noah Baumbach's 'Kicking and Screaming.' The plots can be happening in order or even better if they are somewhat simultaneous so that there can be a handful of scenes where the books criss-cross (but told from the different couple's perspectives).

The 3 plot outlines must be ORIGINAL, with ABSOLUTELY NO PLAGIARISM. That just won't be tolerated.

Chapters (15 per book) should be bullet pointed with what happens in each. They can be organized around each of the lovers, going back and forth between each if you wish (i.e. Chapter 1 - John Doe, Chapter 2 - Jane Doe, Chapter 3 - John Doe, etc. You should know where an inciting incident should be (considering this as about 60,000 words per book), as well as the other important beats in romance writing.

Please start your cover letter with the phrase 'I got this.' So I know you read the entire post. We can discuss ideas.
