This is a demanding hands-on position for a Draftsperson capable of meeting deadlines and excelling in all facets of light steel framing and structural steel detailing. You must be proficient in AutoCAD and light steel framing and have a willingness to learn FrameCAD (our main platform used) and devote the necessary hours (in your own time to start) to learn this platform. We have long-term established clients and a growing clientele base and plenty of ongoing work available and the ability to earn a lucrative income.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:
- Preferred based in Australia (any State/City)
- FrameCAD, if not candidate must have min 2 years' experience with AutoCAD and willingness to learn FrameCAD
- Proven work history and ability to demonstrate skills and knowledge with Light Steel Framing
- Knowledge of Australian Building Codes, Standards and Practices
- Maintain technical library of drawings
- Ability to oversee all detailed drawing facets with workshop and onsite teams
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Exceptional time and organizational management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail and ability to problem solve
- Quality control management
- Provide professional support to management, engineers and clientele
- Strong command of English language both written and spoken
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Light Steel Framing
- Tekla Structures (min 2yrs)
- Job Tendering
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Please do not apply if you don't already have strong AutoCAD skills and experience
- Junior level is invited however, you must have a strong desire to learn all facets of this industry
- You must be a self-motivated and highly committed individual who is capable of taking the initiative
- Minimum 2 years drafting experience and possess knowledge of Australian Building Codes
- Must have an ABN, fast and efficient computer and internet
- Willingness to train on FrameCAD by one of the best in the industry (we will supply 3-month software access for training) and candidates are expected to purchase the software after training is completed and maintain an annual license
