Reposting this job for the third time. Will make a hire in the next 24 hours. Most qualified candidate at the best price will get the job. Freelancers without much experience on Toogit should give me a strong reason why I should choose them.
I need someone to make me a scraper for our website.
This scraper will scrape market value and other data for all players available and export it into a csv file (or xlsm if necessary).
Since there's a huge amount of players worldwide, I'm open to ideas on how to store this data. Having all players in one spreadsheet would be best, but maybe that's not possible due to the amount of data we would collect.
Once all data is collected I'd like the ability to run the scraper every week or so and record any new updates on player values.
I will share some data a spreadsheet with shortlisted candidates. But this is data for just one player, his market value from the first time he appeared on the website up until today.
The placement of the columns might be changed.
What I'd like to do once I get this data is be able to use a VLOOKUP formula (or something similar) to find out a player's value at the time of a certain game. This is crucial.
So for example, here's a spreadsheet I have with games from the Costa Rican league and the line ups for both teams. I'd like to be able to use a VLOOKUP formula, or something similar, to find out the player values of all players at the time of this game.
At the time of this game was $248,000. So I'd like to use something like a VLOOKUP formula to search for his name and the date of the game in the master database to come up with the result of $248,000.
When applying for this job please write that you understand what I'm looking asking to be done and tell me how you'll solve these issues.
1. Handling this amount of data. Will we be able to fit it all in one spreadsheet? Multiple
spreadsheets? Some database?
2. Linking to the data from other spreadsheets (Javier Loaiza example). Will I be able to do
This with a simple VLOOKUP, or some other way?
3. How can we avoid getting IP banned for too many requests?
