SQL Report Writer/Data Analyst College Healthcare
ACHA has an opening for a contract position SQL Report Writer/Data Analyst for its data warehouse program known as the Connected College Health Network (CCHN). The report writer will assist in the analysis, creation, and maintenance of simple to complex reports and database projects. This position will also require solid hands-on experience with Apache Superset (web-based data exploration tool) and leveraging SQL (PostgreSQL - database engine). The ideal candidate should demonstrate thorough knowledge of business intelligence, data warehouse development, and healthcare data analysis, along with advanced troubleshooting and technical leadership skills. The SQL Report Writer/Data Analyst shall develop optimal solutions that meet the ACHA organization's reporting needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement a wide array of standardized and ad hoc reports using SQL Server
- Will be responsible for writing and performing queries
- Maintains detailed documentation for each report/query generated
- Document timely status and completion of requested reports
- Create and Maintains centralized calendar of reporting needs for internal use and external agencies.
- Interprets and provides an appropriate analysis of reported data
- Validates data for accuracy and develops reports and scripts to assist team members to aid with the ACHA membership community data requests and business decisions
- Identify data sources and the appropriate data fields to use for reporting needs
- Collaborating with end-users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery
- Serve as a liaison to leadership team for reporting requests and data analytics
- Analyze information in the reports developed to identify issues, trends, or interesting findings to be shared with the membership community and customers
- Other duties as needed
Requirements
The successful Data Analyst / SQL Report Writer will have:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience developing reports using SQL database
- Working knowledge of SPSS Reports and creating custom queries
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Access to manipulate and analyze data
- Proven experience and knowledge of web analytics and familiarity with web standards; working knowledge of website management tools.
- Hands-on experience building dashboard
- Various Domain experience/knowledge; Health Care, College health a big plus
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and working in an iterative delivery model
- Strong customer relations and the ability to deliver business value with technical excellence
- Programming/Scripting Skills in C/C++, Python, R, JavaScript, Pearl, and HTML is a plus.
