Development of 2 new simplified and smaller versions of an existing WordPress corporate website for 2 locations with minor version changes
Copy existing corporate website to 2 new domains. Make content and image updates as required. Most pages and content will remain the same.
Details
- Develop 2 new sites in WordPress using given product domains. Add "Coming Soon" landing page for the duration of the development
- Release both new sites after developments
- Implement requests for changes as needed
- Copy existing corporate website including theme and content as template and make updates as required
- Domains and hosting for new sites already in place
- Use existing images from corporate where nothing else is specified
- Find and use new stock photos and given unique personal photos as required. Resize new images as needed
- Apply same layout, design and navigation as parent site
- Update existing static home page images to image carousel using stock and personal images. Image resizing required.
- Approximately 10 pages per site
- No transactions on the sites
- Resizing of images required for site load optimization
- Keep most of the existing content. All new content will be supplied and will need to be added to the pages as part of the development job
- Some existing pages from corporate template must be deleted or updated
- Add redirects from menu items to corporate site
- Include email forms from parent site. Test email forms with captcha
- Build for SEO and Google ranking using the following guidelines. Some already exists from corporate site
o All content, images, headers and layout must be optimized for search ranking
o All pages must have only one page-heading, using H1 tag
o Each H2 (sub-heading) tag must have some paragraph (p tag)
o Header or footer must have legal business name, address and phone number
o All HREF tags must have a valid title text
o All images must have a valid ALT text
o Add already written Meta tag
o Page title tag on all pages (70 chars)
o Meta keywords (10 phrases per page)
o Website speed tests on Google Page Speed and GT Metrix must show an acceptable score
Detailed requirements including content updates and photographic images will be supplied
