I run an on-demand babysitting business in Toronto and have 40 child care providers and 40 families. Currently the payment process is very manual (the babysitter emails me the hours they worked, family they worked for, and amount owing), then I calculate how much the family owes based on the information provided by the babysitter as well as the plan they have (there are 3 different membership options with different hourly rates), and then manually enter in that information into Stripe and charge the family. I then send an e-transfer to the babysitter to pay them. I use Google Sheets to document that the invoice has been received from the sitter, that the family has been charged, and that the babysitter has been paid. This process takes up a lot of my time and I am open to any recommendations of how it can be streamlined - ideally continuing to use Stripe to process payments.
In an ideal world, the final deliverable would be a system/ integration that would allow the babysitter to submit an invoice where they select the family they worked for, the system identifies based on that submission which plan the family is on, and the family is automatically charged (and send a receipt), and the babysitter receives their payment (automatically - not via e-transfer).
