We're looking for a teacher to talk about Space, with 6-11 year olds - conducting a live class over zoom. Talk about the ISS, how astronauts live in space, and anything else you think kids in the age group will find interesting for 45 minutes.
The teacher must also make an engaging presentation that will be open via screen sharing. The live class won't just be this though. A very important part is the interactivity of the session.
Each kid, along with having the teacher's video class open on one screen, has a live quiz platform open on another screen. (eg. video open on a laptop, quiz open on a phone)
The quiz is supposed to keep kids engaged in the class, and make it feel different than a recorded lecture.
* After introducing a concept, the teacher opens up a multiple choice question kids can answer.
* When the teacher feels like the kids have had enough time, they can grade the question, and immediately after kids will be able to see if their answer was correct or not.
* The teacher also immediately gets data about how many children got it wrong/right. With this, they can decide if they should spend some time explaining a concept that the kids haven't understood yet.
You'd have to send us around 10 questions to add to our Live Quiz platform, and use the platform and quiz the best you can. We think this is a really cool addition to just video classes.
You should also have some experience communicating science with children in this age group before.
