The Front End WordPress Web Designer/Developer works with project managers and other developers on the team to help develop and execute excellent layout, functionality and design solutions for a range of clients and projects.
WEBSITE CREATION
- Implements designed layout with attention to details such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, etc. for the web
- Ensures all items are properly reviewed by internal compliance and adheres to brand philosophy and style guidelines
- Exhibits follow-up skills in order to ensure projects are completed accurately, timely and within budget constraints
- Develops new website features and seeks out existing solutions to meet client needs
- Executes web-based production of marketing and advertising products
- Ensures cross browser compatibility
- Ensures mobile responsiveness and good mobile navigation display
WEB ADMINISTRATION
- Manages content updates
- Performs regular plugin updates and quality control tests on hosted websites
- Ensures backups are properly executed
PROBLEM RESOLUTION
- Shows proactive trouble-shooting and problem solving techniques
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Understanding of how great design and functionality drives an excellent user experience
- Experience with mobile responsiveness / mobile navigation display issues
- Knowledge and proficiency with WordPress CMS
- Basic knowledge and understanding of web servers, analytics & SEO
- Prefer demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS & JQuery
- Experience with PHP preferred, but not required
- Prefer working knowledge of MySQL databases
- Ability to create great, simple, clean, efficient code
- Knowledge and proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities
- Creativity, curiosity, and excitement with a willingness to learn
- Ability to gather and organize information from multiple sources
- Ability to convey ideas and concepts verbally and in writing
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Familiarity with Toogit Messenger for communication
- Familiarity with project management tools like BaseCamp
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in web field
- Strong portfolio of WordPress websites preferred
