**PROJECT CHALLENGE & OBJECTIVES**
Our client is an international medical center with a large network of clinics aiming at operative efficiencies and reducing cost initiatives associated with breast and skin cancer detection. The main objectives of the project are:
- Develop a Deep Learning algorithm able to detect patients with skin cancer based on pictures.
- Develop a Deep Learning algorithm able to detect patients with breast cancer based on Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

WHAT ARE THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE?
- Work collaboratively with industry consultants, data engineers, project managers, and clients to find the appropriate solutions for each business challenge faced
- Research prior work to gather rational hypotheses and preliminary findings
- Perform preliminary data discovery along with industry/business consultants
- Perform data gathering, data wrangling, and feature engineering
- Work with large and structured/non-structured data sets
- Develop prototype deep learning/machine learning pipelines iteratively as needed to generate actionable insights
- Deliver analytics-driven, value-generating solutions to be considered in the final business case
- Communicate findings and solutions to clients through storytelling
- Lead the Data Science team

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics)
- Proven experience in Genetic Algorithms and other optimization methods
- Strong programming experience in any of the following: Python, R, Julia, or C/C++
- Experience in: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Neural Networks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics)
- Experience using Alteryx Designer
- Experience training and deploying machine learning and deep learning models in a cloud computing environment such as Amazon Web Services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, and present findings and recommendations that demonstrate value
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in the Healthcare industry
