We are looking for a javascript developer to join our team full time. While this posting is for 3 -6 months, if you prove to be a strong asset, we can extend indefinitely. You must be able to work US business hours (10am - 6pm ET, or close to that) and be available on our Slack channel.
We have a number of specifications for interactive banner ads that we need built. Each banner ad is composed of images/css (or scss)/js/html and should work on modern browsers.
They're pretty fun little projects - you usually get to write new code. A snippet from the 'official' job description is below:
You will help us create innovative HTML5 ad formats using our proprietary ad platform, which utilizes HTML, javascript, SASS/CSS, and other tools.
You will also help us onboard customers to our platform, typically requiring html and javascript setup.
Building HTML5 Ad formats with responsive, clean, performant code
Writing user-facing field/input descriptions
Bug and cross-browser testing
Working with our QA staffer to implement fixes and adjustments
Working with our designer to obtain designs where needed
Raising ideas on how to improve an existing workflow or ad format
Requirements:
Strong experience with HTML5, javascript, and CSS
Ability to write clean, well-formatted, well-documented code adhering to a code standard such as AirBnB's javascript style guide
You take pride in your work, always look for best practices, and double-check it for bugs and completeness before marking a task as complete
Have an understanding and ability to write basic algorithms
Nice to Haves
A github account with one or more public repos that showcase your work quality
Professional experience with React, Vue, Angular, or a comparable frontend framework
Good taste when it comes to web design
Experience with Ruby, PHP, or another server-side language
