Today, we have Confluence Cloud running on our system without a unified vision of how it should be used. We have different departments and teams creating spaces for their own purposes, but it's hard for cross-functional teams to find the right documentation and resources across the company.
DELIVERABLE
Instead, we'd like to implement Confluence as an internal knowledge base that helps teams find information they are looking for quickly and easily. Two main use cases:
- Publish content. We need a way for central operations teams to publish best practices, playbooks, and SOPs
- Consume content. We want to make it easy for local teams to discover and consume this content published by central operations when the need arises
TYPE OF FREELANCER
Mainly looking for someone who can help configure Confluence to match the workflow of our teams to publish, maintain, and discover content more easily. Workstreams below:
(1) Navigation. Provide advice on our site's information architecture, and translate that into building out UI
(2) Content. Build templates and configure Confluence to match workflows of teams
(3) Categorization. Advise and provide outline of about how we should implement tagging and other functionality to connect the dots between documentation (for filtering, search, etc)
(4) Functionality. Outline and potentially implement macros and other features of Confluence to enhance usability
(5) Administration. Advise on best practices for documentation ownership (roles & responsibilities) to run site
Main areas of focus and time to be spent on on (2) and (3)
WHAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Our company, Lime, offers a service that enables users to rent free-floating shared vehicles such as scooters and bikes via their smartphone. Once in a local market, vehicles are deployed, maintained, redistributed, and optimized by Lime's workforce at remote warehouses around the world.
We have to make it easy for these remote, local teams to find information on an internal site
