Moiten Mug is a coffee type tumbler used for drinking coffee, smoothies, tea, and any other beverage from. The lid of the coffee mug is what makes this project unique. With a pivotal top allowing the user 4 stages.
Stage 1: No spill when turned upside down - keep drink warm or cold
Stage 2: Drinkable opening
Stage 3: Straw Insert
Stage 4: Open and Easy clean
(What I mean by stages becomes clear in my sketches or a simple video explanation.)
I want the design of this mug to be modern, simple, and easy to clean.
Moiten Mug was founded because of the epidemic of single use plastics polluting the world's oceans. With more and more individuals opting for a reusable cup to replace their throw away drinkware and more companies accepting reusable fill ups - Moiten Mug would like to get in this market.
Moiten Mug is also a community of people that are passionate about a certain cause. Moiten Muggers are do-gooder vigilantes and are driven by worldly causes -- Doing good things for people, animals, and the world without expecting anything in return.
Examples of product offering:
Theme: "Save the Ocean"
A themed Traveler Mug (10% profit going to themed cause)
Other themed categories could include:
Education
Healthcare
Financial health
Animal Extinction
Each Mug will have the same function but a different theme. (color, packaging, pdf file, etc)

Working Style: I will need to have some video conference meeting and would actually prefer face to face meetups if at all possible. So if you are local to the DC Metro area you will get bonus points!
Deliverables:
D1: Concept Generation - 3 Concepts (IDEA)
Work with me through video conference for quick sketch-ups and to understand the idea in full. I will identify the problem I am trying to solve and the solution I have for it but I want the design expert to tell me if it will work or not or if something they know design wise works better. (Looking for lots of design thinking problem solvers here). Then Present to me three(or more) digital concept sketches showing a diverse range of possible manufacturable solutions to solve defined problem. The key here is manufacturable solutions I can take to a manufacture! I will provide feedback and revisions (mixing and matching options perhaps) then...
D2: CAD Files and Prototyping
Two official digital designs to be showcased and approved and then go on to first prototype. 1-3 prototypes to approve functionality. I will be going out to a local 3-d printing company to perform some tests and then articulating those test findings to you for final renderings. (Let me know if you have a simpler solution!)
D3: Final CAD files Delivered (.eps, .psd, .stl, .jpeg, .png - Basically all files I could take to a manufacturer.)
Manufacturable designs ready for test batch.
