What are the responsibilities of the role?
The main function of the role is to work alongside our Senior statistical analyst in supporting the Consulting team through high quality data analysis. Specifically;
- Statistical Analysis - use standard analytical techniques leveraging statistical software such as SPSS statistics.
- Delivering highly accurate statistical analysis of all the extensive datasets each client project generates, resulting in more actionable insight for our clients
- Using statistical techniques to drive higher levels of insight into the relationships between the different variables across the multiple datasets we collect monthly
- Merging and fusing our datasets together, and running different types of analysis to unlock greater understanding and knowledge of the companies, markets, sectors and industries we cover
- Driving a greater understanding of different statistical methods and techniques across the UK team to enable a greater appreciation of what analysis types can add to our client deliverable
0- Ability to communicate clearly about complex statistical techniques both internally and externally, notably in responding to client questions and enquiries about our data
- Managing the statistical code book and designing the database taxonomy
Professional Qualifications
A successful candidate must possess:
- 3+ years of hands on statistical analysis working with large data sets in a leading market research, advisory and consulting firm.
- Experience with advanced features of Microsoft Excel; Preferably familiarity with VBA
- Knowledge of programming languages and database systems including Python
- Technical knowledge and skills including: multivariate analysis such as regression analysis and factor analysis, sampling techniques and database scheme development
- Proficient data quality skills including: data project management, data classification, data manipulation, mining, transformation and variable derivation.
- Ability to understand how to visualize complex data in a straightforward style to communicate analytical outputs to clients and team effectively.
- Experience in handling data for studies spanning multiple countries and multiple stakeholders.
Additional requirements;
- Language skills: English
- Ability to work in the UK
- Degree from a leading school in Statistical Sciences, Mathematics, Operations Research, Business or Economics is required.
