I need editor who can do line editing by definition here: https://(Removed by Toogit Admin)/2015/01/copyediting-vs-line-editing/ but actually make those changes rather than suggest to author in most cases. Pub House uses a lot of ghostwriters so editor makes changes to these books (depending on author preference).

Publishing:
Are not fine literature, no matter how fun they are. And because they are what they are, we want to move the action forward. Verbosity is NOT a virtue, nor are perfect grammar and diction. We have a style sheet that delineates our punctuation style (not CMS!).

Work environment:
Editor works from home and can choose hours. Team has two assistants (more or less copyeditors) who can go through MS first. The publishing house has 15+ authors at this time with 25+ series and this increases weekly. Books release on weekdays, and it's not unusual to have a release every weekday of the month. Very active house

Turnaround time:
This is Indie publishing and our authors (and ghostwriters) will often put out a book every two weeks. The edit cycle is usually 7-10 days. Ten is luxury. Line editor's portion of that cycle is two days or as needed,

Expected production rate:
Ten pages per hour on average for line editing, less if you're having to rewrite a lot (50k book=18-20 hours, depending on author)
