We are looking for detail minded editors and proofreaders who loves details and are comfortable with religious content. We have a series of Christian books that need to have the content meticulously proofread. Books will be available over the fall.
The ideal candidate will be very familiar--and even love--the Chicago Manual of Style.
The purpose of this job post is to build up our team of proofreaders that we will engage over the fall. To accomplish this we will:
1) Hire at least 5-10 people through this job post for one hour
2) During that time we will provide some applicants with some proofing surveys/tests so that we can find the best candidates for our type of work.
After steps 1-2, most jobs will be closed out with new jobs opened during the fall when actual work is available and mutually meets our schedules.
Work must be completed on a computer with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft word.
