We are an online school delivering cutting edge career and certification training to students around the world. Our training is unique, in that it combines recorded video lecture, simulations, animations, and engaging activities and exercises designed to keep the student engaged in their studies, and best prepare them for certification and a new career.
We have just begun developing curriculum and training materials for a Medical Coding Professional program, that will be aligned with the AAPC's Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and AHIMA's Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) certifications. Our Product Development team is searching for detail oriented and meticulous proofreader to serve as a Quality Control Specialist for the program. As training assets are developed by our Subject Matter Expert, the Quality Control Specialist will proofread and ensure the accuracy and clarity of curriculum.
Training assets will include approximately 45 written scripts of 5-8 pages each. These scripts are what the instructor will be presenting verbatim on recorded video. Additionally, we will produce approximately 86 'Storyline' activities that contain written text, medical coding exercises, and other activities. We plan to develop these 131 assets to be created over a period of 5 months, and we estimate that each asset will require approximately two (2) hours of review/proofing. Delivery of each asset to the contractor will ongoing, and it is expected that the final proofed version be returned within 12-48 hours.
Candidates MUST have experience in medical coding, and MUST either currently hold the CPC or CCS-P certification in order to be considered for this job. Due to the highly technical nature of this subject matter, candidates must have subject matter expertise AND be skilled at proofreading and quality control. The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for verifying ICD codes, therefore there will be no exception to certification/experience requirement.
