We're looking to raise capital for our six-figure business Approximately 1 month has passed since we began our Series A and we already got burned badly by a company whom we hired to help us raise capital. We need someone experienced in raising capital who isn't planning to throw us into some random site where we have to jump through hoops and compete to get funded.
I'm an entrepreneur with a successful business, but our business is not that of raising capital, so that's why we need to hire someone knowledgeable in that arena.
The goal of hiring you to help us raise capital is for you to make warm introductions for us repeatedly until we find one or more accredited investors who will invest in us. (Angels, VCs, Private Money, etc.)
As I've run the gamut in raising capital for a month, and prepared with the last company since early January of this year, I have a decent knowledge of what to expect, but I'm by no means an expert at it. So, if there's a certain type f investor who is more suited to investing in our business, then focus on that type. As long as we get a fair deal, and we raise the capital we need, we're happy.
Your payment will be remitted in full upon completion of our funding. Your payment is certainly negotiable, but I'm listing a number on here that I believe is fair.
Funding usually lasts around 3 months from my research, and we're a six-figure business and growing YoY, so we're certainly investible. I currently own 100% of the company, and we're a team of roughly 10 people and we have several tax, legal, and marketing advisors, as well as numerous marketing and recruiting partners. We're well connected, and having the capital we need to fill the void in our 5-year plan to meet our financial projections is what we're after.
Also, I know it's my job to interact with the investors to work with them to close the deal, and the amount of equity I'm willing to sell is well within reason for what I've seen in my research. I'm not one of those entrepreneurs who try to hog all the equity and sell myself short. 20% of zero is still zero, and 20% of $20MM is $4MM. I see our business as a way to fix the issues I personally faced when starting out in this field, and I see our exit as something I can leverage for real estate investments and more businesses. We need an investor who wants to take a hands-on approach and can offer us excellent advice to grow our business as well. While we're growing right now, mentorship is always extremely valuable when it's with the right mentor.

If you're a well-connected entrepreneur or someone who has helped other companies raise capital (for real, not some crappy crowdfunding platform), then this should be easy for you. We have some interest so far and others are bringing in leads for us.
