We work with both ITAR and non-ITAR data from our customers. We use Salesforce to track our customer engagements and the sales cycle. Most of our staff are US Citizens but we have one employee that is Italian and lives in Italy. ITAR data can only be hosted on computers that are located physically within the USA and meet certain requirements. We would like to be able to link our e-mails to our Salesforce account. The body of our e-mails never contain ITAR data but encrypted attachments can contain ITAR data. So, we are looking for advice regarding the best way to use Salesforce with these conditions. Is there an ITAR compliant version of Salesforce that our US staff could use but then is there some way that our Italian employee could get limited access to that version of Salesforce or is there a setting in Salesforce that simply removes any attachment from e-mails. Looking for advice on the best way to move forward and potentially help with settings and configurations of Salesforce.
