We are seeking an experienced text analytics expert for a data science project. The project will involve helping us unlock information from unstructured text data. We will employ NLP (Natural Language Processing) tools such as Spacy to parse the text into topics and entities. The early platform will have the ability to detect topics and semantically similar statements that consider both individual words and sentence structure with a high degree of accuracy incorporating highly effective multi-tier heuristics and machine learning algorithms.
Requirements
- Python programming experience with NLP/Natural Language Understanding
- Experience with NLP toolkits such as Spacy, NLTK, OpenNLP, Stanford CoreNLP etc.
- Hands-on experience developing supervised and unsupervised NLP algorithms
- Academic background in deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning
- 5+ years of programming experience, proficiency in Python
- Strong knowledge in general software design, data structures, and relational database
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset
