Launching an out of home (outdoor) network at sports venues and need someone to help me think through how to install and organize the network at each of the venues. Here is a little description:
We will be operating a network of connected TVs (or similar video monitors) at sports venues around the country, mostly in minor league baseball parks to start. The initial build out will be in 4 or 5 ballparks in California with roughly 10 TVs per ballpark, but if successful, the network will grow to dozens of ballparks and hundreds of TVs.
The TVs will hang outdoors at various spots around the ballparks with roughly 10 TVs per ballpark. The content on the network will be a 5 - 10 minute loop of :15 - :30 second spots that will be a combination of stills and live videos. The content will loop automatically from the start of the game until the end, which is roughly three hours.
We envision configuring wireless networks at each ballpark, connecting the TVs via Chromecast or similar networking plug-in at each ballpark to some kind of media server at each location. It is not required that the network at one ballpark connect to the one at another ballpark. It is, however, required that there be two-way communication between the Home Office and the media server at each of the ballparks. Each ballpark will have different cell signal strength and / or pre-existing wireless networks. As such, the installation of the network will likely differ by ballpark, and we will need to understand the existing infrastructure at each ballpark before deciding the best way to configure the network at each ballpark.
