We are a software startup in the Cloud services market - looking for a self-directed and experienced Remote part-time Accountant to create the long term & day-to-day finance/accounting operations and the monthly close process.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is well-versed in working closely with management and cross-collaboratively with our clients in a startup company.
You would be reporting to the founder & CEO. You would be the financial eyes & ears of the company & help steer it safely through its formative stages in all issues pertaining to Finance.

Responsibilities:
Advice CEO & create accounting procedures, policies, tools & structure.
Prepare month-end closing journal entries
Reconcile the General Ledger
Prepare financial statement reconciliations
Prepare internal and external monthly financial statements
Prepare quarterly and annual tax filings (IFTA and Personal Property)
Prepare work-papers for year-end audits & file Taxes
Develop, document and enforce accounting processes and procedures relating to the accounting cycle
Test accounting controls to ensure effectiveness
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Responsible for Accounts payable & receivables
Desirable qualities :
You could be located anywhere in the US
Have the abilities to deal with startup challenges and navigate well through change
Understand and be well versed with Financial responsibilities, rules & liabilities of companies
Be able to dive down into doing /implementation & also step back and take in the big picture to help advice the founder.
Have the education & professional chops with excellent communication skills
