Required software development,Website Development freelancer for PowerApps - immediate need to troubleshoot and brainstorm job

Posted at - May 25, 2020

Pro PowerApps Engineer needed:
This is a short description of the project.
Overview
There is a process of collecting office seat count from office managers from numerous office locations around the US. The manual process was that Facilities folks (team in charge of collecting the data) would contact 30+ office location managers and ask about their seat count allocations. The email would ask how many employees in total do the office location has and which of the departments does those employees belong too. Managers would reply: In the Austin, Texas office we have 50 employees in total and their department allocation is CORP = 10; Education = 20; Human Services = 10; TECH = 10; PPL=0. Since this email process was tedious, I created a simple list on SharePoint and added a PowerApps interface on it that would allow Office managers to login to the app and input their location seat count. It was a requirement that Office Managers should only see their respective location information and nothing else. This was also achieved by PowerApps using managers user name capture and comparing it to a column on the list that had the appropriate names of the managers. Down the line, we will add Flow for approval when managers input seat count information that will either be approved or denied by Facilities employees.
The other phase of the project is to pull information from AAD to provide specific information on the number of users in those locations. Ex: Manager in Austin, Texas location reported 50 employees. Let's see if that's the correct number of employees in Austin, Texas by checking with AAD. Since I did not want to go the route of connecting to AAD directly from Power Apps (users of the app would need access to AAD), I went the route of pulling down a daily script of all AAD users to a csv. This was automated script was achieved by Azure Runbooks - in the Runbooks we have a PowerShell script that connects to AAD >> prints a fresh copy to an xlsx >> stores it in Azure Blobs >> Daily Flow would come and pick it up from the Blob >> Flow would store the AADdump.xlsx on SharePoint site for consumption. The idea was for PowerApps to connect to that excel sheet and bring in the information to the Seat Count App. Problem is: Power Apps is not reading the excel document. It says that the data needs to be in a table format. This is where I am stuck. I can easily add a table to the excel document, but I need an automated way of doing that.
The ask from me is the following:
1. Come up with a way to get the data into Power Apps
2. After data is in Power Apps, come up with a process we can filter the data and display it specifically to Office Managers.
3. Discussion if there is a better way to achieve this process and general advice on how to go about building this for the future
