ABOUT US
BoardMaps is a board portal software like our bigger competitors Diligent and BoardVantage. In addition to serving Boards, our solution also helps management teams run efficient, decision-driven meetings.
BoardMaps was established in Europe in 2013 by founder Jacob Bernstein. BoardMaps moved their headquarters to Austin, Texas in 2017. Today we have over 60 enterprise customers in Europe with 5,000 users managing more than 20,000 meetings per year.
60% of these customers are financial service institutions, who also use it beyond boards for their management committees.
Our software is very sleek, and we have won the prestigious RedDot Award (Berlin, 2016) for software interface UI/UX.
OUR MISSION
BoardMaps' goal is to bring radical digital transformation to meetings enabling teams to stop wasting time and resources. Business leaders use our unique meeting management software to manage complex issues from inception to resolution, therefore, driving effective meetings. BoardMaps makes it easy to prepare and structure meetings, make and document decisions, as well as assign action items to ensure follow up and accountability.
ISSUE
BoardMaps is lacking sales in the US. In October 2018 we contracted with a company to cold call, generate leads, and demo our software to potential clients. As of March 2019, their efforts have resulted in 2 sales.
We have identified our 4 problem areas as:
1. Lack of references, low visibility in the US, low marketing.
2. Sales operations are in the early stages.
3. Our brand name triggers Board associations which present concerns for customers who look at it for other use cases.
4. Our product may be:
a. Lacking certain important features vis competition.
b. Has excessive and unnecessary features which scare customers.
c. The product might be difficult to grasp due to multiple workflows.
WHAT WE WANT
We are looking for a PM consultant who can research and analyze our perceived problem area #4 and make recommendations on the product side of what should be the most important and immediate priorities for development, UI/UX and other product-related features.
