Looking to prototype a javascript-based front-end for a data governance application. The application will enable uses to see all available datasets.
Key Use Cases:
1. For each dataset, the use will be able to see a number of attributes of the data:
- Technical source information: Server name, port, folder
- Metadata: Columns (Name, Type), Entity, Tags, Data visibility categorization
- Operational information: Last updated
- Technical data steward
- Business data steward
- Sample data
2. See a listing of available datasets
3. Search the listing of available datasets. As the user types, list gets narrower.
4. Select 1+ datasets and checkout (Stub out only)
Key Screens:
1. Login screen
2. All available dataset. For 1 selected dataset, detailed view pane.
3. Enable checkout with 1+ dataset. Checkout screen.
4. User Details
Architecture
- AngularJS based front-end communicating with a REST-based NodeJS backend (NodeJS backend needs to be stubbed out only)
What is required?
- Working app with the screens as specified above.
