Need a part-time SA / DBA working in a Windows / Azure environment. I will provide complete details after job award.
An applicant MUST HAVE Windows Azure experience to apply.
Short story: We need a SA / DBA to:
1. Set up a monthly/weekly management plan for maintaining server performance (against known standards).
2. Provide occasional assistance with writing SQL scripts and stored procs.
3. Install automated uptime, threshold and performance alerts.
4. Check status of all monitors each day ensuring that they meet established standards..
5. Consult with software engineers for new software design projects which require a consideration of the database design and architecture.
6. Schedule regular database maintenance and optimization work.
7. Be available for emergency maintenance 24 hours/day. (Note that such instances will be very rare especially with regular maintenance following IT best practices.)
