My company is very small (basically a start-up), online skin care business where I consult with clients and sell skincare products. I do generate sales, but not a ton.
I'm looking for a bookkeeper/tax accountant to get some professional help in cleaning-up my QuickBooks and will need monthly bookkeeping services moving forward. I have a tax appointment on the 28th to have our income taxes done but can probably push the appointment out if more time is needed to clean up the books.
I need these services from a bookkeeper:
prompt, timely and organized monthly bookkeeping through QB online (or whatever program)
product sales tax reporting and payments
quarterly payments to IRS and state
help with inputting inventory correctly
other bookkeeping related help
I also have some questions about forming an LLC, in particularly, how it would work if my husband is in the military and we're required to live in a different state than where I plan on incorporating the business. I'm open to possibilities, but the complexities coupled with my lack of knowledge of this kind of stuff make it difficult for me to know where to begin my research. I need a professionals advice.
As far as the books are concerned, I have Quickbooks online and have unsuccessfully been trying to master the basics for over a year now. My biz is a super tiny online retail operation (sole proprietorship), no employees or complicated transactions. I'm actually taking a loss this year.
My bank accounts are interfaced, and my chart of accounts are set up, the problem is nothing is balancing, and I'm going cross-eyed trying to figure out where errors lie!
It would probably take someone that knows what they're doing a few hours at most. It's probably not more than a couple hundred transactions.
I simply can't get my books to balance and just don't have the time and sanity to deal with it any longer as it's stressing me out and deterring my focus off other aspects of my business.
